April’s Here

D. Bruce Moore

Music: D. Bruce Moore, Murray Pulver
Lyrics: D. Bruce Moore

“A fun, light-hearted look at love with a clever twist!”

D. Bruce Moore has been singing and playing his guitar since childhood, being enamoured with Canadian icon Gordon Lightfoot and folk singer Don Francisco.

Bruce’s musical career was derailed by a car accident while studying for his Bachelor of Music degree. While his bones were intact, his heart was “broken” when whiplash caused him to lose his voice and give up his dreams as a singer.

Years later he met vocal coach Glen Pierce, and, subjecting himself to seemingly bizarre methods, Bruce was able to re-learn how to sing with a much stronger voice than ever before! Now, he can not only write songs, but also sing them!

Bruce continues to write and record music for himself and others in both Winnipeg and Nashville, and provides private vocal coaching through WinnipegVocalTraining.com

Start of another day
Winter seems here to stay
Maybe I’ll head on down to the local coffee shop
The girl with the chai latte
Figures I should “seize the day”
Why bother holding out until the weather’s hot?

But I don’t mind I’ll take my time and…

Wait ’till April’s here
Gotta feeling it’ll be my year when…
April’s here
Clouds will disappear when…
April’s here

Afternoon coffee break
Trying to stay awake
Maybe I gotta case of the February blues
The girl at the other desk
Figures that I need a rest
How about I head out on a winter weather cruise?

Well I don’t care if I seem square I’ll…

Wait ’till April’s here
Gotta feeling it’ll be my year when…
April’s here
Clouds will disappear when…
April’s here!

She brings sunshine from the rain
She’s the reason I remain in…
Love, though seasons come and go…
‘Cause I know…

When April’s here…
The cloud’s disappear now
April’s here…
Rain can’t interfere ’cause
April’s here…
The sky is crystal clear Oh
April’s here…
Now that April’s here
April’s here…
